Hi all,

I used the search button but didn't find any answers, so sorry if this has been asked before.

I currently have an ATI HD4850. I plan to buy a new LCD screen for gaming. I am currently gaming on my 32" LCD TV at 1360x768, so that's not really nice, but does the job anyway.

I would be interested in using a 120HZ LCD and was reading about true 120HZ models such as the Samsung 2233RZ and Viewsonic VX2265wm.

I don't really care about 3D and I know my card won't support it.

What I want is to be able to use my HD4850 to output 120HZ signal.

Is that supported by this card? How does it work?
I've read that dual DVI or something like that is required. What is it? I just plug two DVI cable to the LCD and the screen will recognize both signal and display 120HZ content?

Thanks!

I remember reading about some issues in the past where the drivers would downclock too low in 2d mode for 120Hz monitors which caused some problems, but I believe those issues have been fixed in a new driver.

Yeah, that's what I read too, but most of the persons who talked about that had 58xx series video card. I didn't find anyone trying to do it with 48xx models.
