Need some help or advice or a potential driver problem. Just upgraded from Vista 64 to Windows 7 64. I have been using this video card for quite a while with no problems until I switched operating systems. Now I have a problem where my screen will freeze then go black and then it will recover with "Video driver has recovered" error. I have used the windows 7 initial driver and tried a couple of updated drivers that ATI has since put out. I have since taken the card out and am using the video off of the motherboard and the errors haven't come back. Any one else having a problem like this.
Thanks

Used to have this problem a lot with Vista and my 3870, but it only popped up when using dualmonitors.

Read this massive thread for more details.

I've been using dual monitors with Vista for about a year with no problems. Just started since installing windows 7. Seems alot of posts for the same problem with different fixes.

I used to get this myself with the 4650HD and the 3650HD. It has something to do with the drivers not reacting in a certain amount of time. Usually it was a specific event that caused it. What are you doing when it happens?

Usually just surfing or reading email. I thought it might be dual monitors causing this but I have seen it happen with just one. Seems to be happening more frequently now.
