What motherboard do you have in there again? I didn't know they made the A8N32-SLI Deluxe in green, and if it is, why in the blue hell would you change the heatpipe cooler on the chipset? That sound card also looks suspiciously like the Audigy2 ZS.

EDIT: Oh, your heatsink only fits on S478 P4s and Celerons, how did you manage to get that sucker to fit?

You are as stupid as everyone else. It's an X-fi card. Are you telling me that it is impossible to adjust 478 coolers to fit on 939 sockets?

What about pictures? Anyone can mod their case anyway they'd like. Spears or Backstreet Boys or DJ Sammy, who cares.

Late to the party, but why would anyone care what hardware Fire does or doesn't have? He says the stuf in his sig is what he has, why argue? It's about as important as the brand of plastic wrap he uses.

Way to post a picture that says nothing (except proves you wrong for keen observers).

That video card backplate is from an ATI Silencer 4 or 5 - those fit the X800 series. I put one on my X800 Pro (ATI Silencer 4), and another (ATI Silencer 5) on my X850 XT PE.

For a guy who has 4X 15K SCSI drives, you sure know how to hide $1000 of hardware equipment that anyone would brag about!

That Mobo sure isn't an A8N32-SLI - it's a close fit, but the CPU is a bit too far to the left relative to the northbridge (which conspiculously doesn't have a heatpipe cooler on yours???), the PCB is black, not blue.

By the way, I guess it goes without saying that that isn't Corsair XMS memory, seeing as I can see the bare chips and some red thing beside it (generic heatspreader?). Corsair XMS is black or silver, depending on model.

Yeah but everyone else would rather have a quiet stock card.. with lifetime warranty/great service from evga or BFG (maybe XFX to).
That means alot of people are pushed towards Nvidia cards.
But I'm guessing Nvidia doesnt appeal to you because you are from Ontario thus naturally support ATI, and BFG/Evga warranties probably dont apply in Canada.

Question: Do you have to use Crossfire for this to work? If not, why are you complaining? You need a GPU anyways, and a X1600 is cheaper than the Ageia PhysX, last time I checked.

That's a FOXCONN motherboard in that pic not an Asus. I should know as I've had systems with both.

Also what LSi RAID card? The good ones are PCI-X/PCI-E. They'll have 256MB or more of cache and a Lithium ION battery backup unit to retain data in the cache for up to 72 hours if needed.

EDIT2: Yes the PCB on the X-Fi is black not brown. That looks like an Audigy2 or less to me. Definitely not an Elite Pro. The Elite Pro has a blue lighted X-Fi logo on it near the end. I can post pics of a real one if one wishes.

Last i knew this was marketed under ATi as "triple threat" which implies that you do in fact need 3 video cards AND a supporting mobo.

And i wasnt impressed by the complexity of the demo at all. Its not even drawing what a modern game has for polygons/textures/shaders.

But look it can make them swirl around :Q

I still dont have a PhysX card yet, im hoping for a PCI-E version and a price drop before Warhammer Online comes out in 2007.

Elite Pro not only has the light on the end (that glows X-Fi...only the Fatal1ty and the Elite Pro have it...thx X-RAM), but there's a breakout box for the front that allows you to control everything you can in the CP, for the most part. I don't see the cable running from your 'X-Fi' to said breakout box..and anyone with an Elite Pro would likely not leave out that little toy, since the Elite Pro and the Fatal1ty are pretty much identical save for that little box.
