Actually those are plain DDR2 chips, not GDDR, which makes the whole thing all the more amusing. My best guess is that they're just relabeled Samsung chips.
You'd be surprised where you can find a competitor's product in a company's product. I have an AMD flash drive from their 5870 launch event that had an Intel flash controller on it.
