They'll be just fine for gaming. You can toss either the reference FireGL drivers or the Omega drivers on it and play to your heart's content.

No you can't. Are you speaking from experience? If so what driver set are you using?
I don't game on my X1 128. It does a decent job on small to mid-sized architectural projects. Any bigger than that and you need something much more serious.
