I just picked up the Dell 2405FPW and I have to say this is an amazing display. I think it has flushed any thoughts of CRT out of my mind. Anyway, I had a question about 2 features under the 'Options' tab in the ATI control panel:
Reduce DVI frequency on high-resolution displays
Alternate DVI operational mode
Both of these options are enabled by default, but the 'What's this' states that they are only needed if I am experiencing display corruption or no picture. Of course that's not the case so I decided to uncheck both of them. Is Ati suggesting that both options should be left alone if they are on by default? I'm guessing no, but I was curious if anyone else had an experience where one/both options were actually needed? Any info would help. Thanks.
