OK, everything was fine until I installed DVD Genie. Now I get all sorts of region warnings and no DVDs will play. I uninstalled DVD genie and I still can't get DVDs to play.
My DVD Drive is an ASUS 12X region 0 (test jumper removed does that). System is a P3 450mhz, 256mb ram, WinME, ATI RADEON with all latest drivers.
WTF? I am just beside myself. This HTPC saga is kicking me in the balls every day.
PLEASE HELP! What do I do to solve this? I have read all the FAQ's, but simply do not know how to proceed and i need this working TONIGHT!
Forgot to mention: CD's won't work. They play, but there is no sound. Yet if I play them via Windows' Media Player, they work just fine. It's just ATI's CD player that won't work! AARGGHH!!!!
