So I have payed and used the NVIDIA PureVideo decoder, and I wanted to try to get my X1900XT working with ATIs decoder, but I can't find a place to get it...

ATI's site has a dload link but it says its only for people who already have the ATI multimedia Center installed and have the CD to verify the DLOAD. Is there any way for me to buy the decoder or DLOAD it anywhere? Will it even work with my X1900XT or do I need the AIW to use it?

Thanks

There's no "special" ATI MPEG2 decoder, either PowerDVD or WinDVD will work.

The NVIDIA DVD player works with ATI cards.

Cyberlink's decoder is very good and is the one provided by ATI. In the PowerDVD 7 incarnation (decoder version 1.7), at least, it supports both AVIVO and PureVideo and may be used with any player such as Media Player Classic. It is commonly provided with DVD drives and video cards though usually in lower functionality versions and thus unlikely to offer AVC decode.

Are you saying you do not have an ATI brand card and/or CD? Essentially, the license is included when you buy an ATI brand card but not otherwise. I have ordered them from ATI and assume they are still available. There may be a nominal charge if not added to an order of other schtuff (once I got some adapter cables and was able to add CDs at no extra cost).
