ATI drivers won't install

My puter won't let me install the CD that came with the All-in-wonder X800XT.
When I insert the disk and click install, it tells me that: "Setup failed to run installation: (0x80040707)"

I've tried cleaning the disk, updating Windows Installer (whatever it's called) and got nothing. It won't even let me install each item individually!

I know that each little element of the all-in-wonder software pack is available on amd.com, but my TV tuner fails to operate if I use the drivers from the website. AMD tells me that I need to install what's on the CD before downloading the stuff on the website. Unforunately, I can't. :-(

The CD works absolutely fine in my other computer.

WHAT DO I DO????????

anyone?

I've tried everything I could think of, including copying the CD contents to the other computer (the one that works with this CD) and then running ATI setup through the home network. Not even that works...same error message 🙁

No, but .net framework is one of the items on the disk that would install automatically...if the damn disk would run.

Thanks for the reply.

Have you totally uninstalled and removed all other ATI stuff first? It gets picky that way.
