ati drivers other than ccc

Yeah I've had nvidia video cards since I've been with computer gaming and now I have an ATI just wondeirng if there are some that don't use ccc or just work differently in general.. like omega drivers or something? I don't know honestly I'm pretty much a video noob.
 
CCC is the optional control panel for the driver settings. You can install just the base driver without CCC, and it will run just fine. I personally use the base driver and Ati Tray Tools to control all the settings.
