ATI drivers for Mobility Radeons

Since ATI still doesn't support the HD series mobile GPUs under Vista with their own drivers, is it possible to force Windows 7 drivers to install on Vista? Dell's drivers are 15 years old, and I've never gotten MobilityModded drivers to install correctly (some kind of install package error and CCC is broken).
 
I meant will the Win7 drivers work correctly on Vista. I guess I should've asked that in the first place.
