Hello,

I have a specific problem thats a little odd.

When my computer boots and I hear the little windows tune, my monitor says, "no signal check source". The system is running, everything is in order except the video signal. I can even shut down by pressing ALT+F4 then TAB then ENTER.

I then booted into safe mode and uninstalled my drivers. Booyah! My system boots perfectly. The only problem is that my card is acting like a retard. It doesn't know how to use itself. So i get a non-native resolution and can't play games.

I also tried to install new freshly downloaded drivers from the official site and that didn't work. Then i tried omega drivers and the same thing happened.

How can I get my drivers working properly? How do I make them send a signal to my monitor?

My Specs---------
mobo: Gigabyte DS-3
CPU: e6400 OC'd to 3.2 ghz
GPU: x1900xtx 512mb
Ram: Patriot 2 GB PC-3200
Monitor: 19" widescreen Hanns-G HW192D native 1440x900

Please help.

I had this exact problem when I upgraded to my X1900XTX. Right after the windows splash screen, I lost video signal but could hear the Windows chime.

IT has something to do with setting either the resolution or refresh incorrectly I think.

Try googling a file called "DVI_recover.zip".

Should fix your problem.
