ATi drivers and CCC

You could just uninstall CCC and then just install only the drivers for your video card from now on. (they are linked at the bottom of the drivers page of your card, under individual IIRC). You will not be able to tweak the graphics as much, but if a couple of processes are bothering you, it will remove them.
