I can't seem to find any old drivers on their site. The actual file name should be 9-11_agp-hotfix_vista_win7_32_dd_ccc.exe

Would anyone still have this saved?

Thanks

I have 9.12 which is around 60MB. Let me know.
I have that one also but thanks anyways.

I just upgraded my x1650pro to a 4670. Trying to get a little more life out of this old box. I was reading the 9-11's were the best recent drivers The 9-12's work tho. 10-1 on the other hand seems to be a joke.

why would you put a 4670 in a system with 1gb of ram and a single core P4? you arent going to be able to do anything more with a 4670 than that 1650 with those pc specs. no way can you even play many games with 1gb of system ram not to mention a single P4 would kill much of what a 4670 is capable of. IMO that was just a waste of money that could have gone towards a modern pc.

i have 3gb of ram now. why? because the x1650 which replaced my original radeon 9800 when it died was complete trash. i dont game a whole lot but the few i do play, play just fine. i use autocad and this card is more than enough for my work.

i know i over paid compared to what i could have got with a pci-e card but i cant afford a whole upgrade right now. im working on it tho and when i do i will still keep this box around as a second pc.

believe it or not, i noticed a HUGE difference in games over the x1650. i can even play crysis! (barely)

It would be great if you could provide some benchmarks of the X1650 and 4670, if you have the time and inclination.

I gave the x1650 to my brother. I would run some benchmarks on the 4670 when I get home from work if you want. I'll try and find some x1650 numbers online and try my best to run similar benchmarks.

Bioshock was barely playable before. It plays very nice now. Quake 4 was unplayable for me before also and it runs decent now.

well the numbers you see online for a video card review will have used a high end cpu so they wont be directly comparable. I also find it odd that Quake 4 was unplayable with the X1650. I played through Quake 4 with max settings at 1024x768 on a much slower plain 6600.

in fact here is the x1650 getting 61 fps on max settings and 4x AA. http://www.overclock3d.net/reviews/gpu_displays/powercolor_x1650_pro_review/4

It played, just not as good as i like. I was used to 100+ fps quake 2 & 3.

Either way, I don't think I wasted money. Think of how much I saved by not upgrading since I bought this box 6 years ago.

Believe me, I would love a brand new system I just can't swing it right now. Lots of medical bills lately and other stuff that takes priority.

yeah but if you factor in how much money you have dumped into that pc you could easily almost buy a new pc after selling that one. even a $300-350 pc from Best Buy would be a massive improvement over what you have. again by the time you sold your other stuff it would only be about $200-$250 bucks. I had a 5000 X2 pc that I bought for 550 bucks, kept it for over 2 years and then sold it for 225 bucks on craisglist. that means for less than 350 bucks I had a nice pc for a couple years while people with older systems are always waiting and getting a pretty crappy experience in the meantime. in other words if you really want a pc you can do it.

The only upgrades I have put in that cost me anything were the video cards. I have 4.5tb of space but i got the drives for almost nothing, just cost me my time really.

I have a system in a wish list on newegg. Its about $500. I'm hoping to get it purchased by the end of March. I will keep this box for my girl or my son to use so its not going to waste.

What's done is done. I'm just looking for these drivers to see if they work any better than the current ones.

I have shitloads of medical bills to pay right now. Recently diagnosed type 1 diabetic amd now I have to get cataract surgery. So Spending $500 right now just isn't an option.
