anyone else having this problem? I noticed a sudden decrease in frames while playing crysis and investigated. one gpu was at 80C load while the other was idling at 40C. then I went to device manager and saw that one of the two "4870X2"'s listed under video devices had the tell tale yellow flag. The problem is labeled "code 43"

whenever I restart windows, once I get to the log in screen the display would blink out, before shrinking the log in window and moving it to the top left of the screen. After logging in the image would correct itself (running 1920X1200 on Samsung 2493HM)

tried several reinstalls of ATI drivers before rolling it all the way back to version 8.11

Problem seems to have fixed itself for the time being, but I'm looking to see if anyone else with an 4870X2 or a 4870 Xfire setup ever had this problem

this is a driver problem. Nothing to do with the voltage. I've read from other users with the same problem that it could be Vista's problem when running with 4GB of ram. I'm running 4GB (2X2) right now.

8.11 works fine, and rivatuner monitor shows both cores working, but both 9.1 and 9.2 will instigate a "Windows has stopped this device" upon reboot, and one core will be completely disabled. I had to uninstall drivers, uninstall both gpus, reboot, run driver sweeper in safe mode, reboot and reinstall 8.11, yada yada.

The problem is annoying, to be sure. I know that 9.2 should have performance benefits assuming it works, but as of status quo that is a no-go.
