ATI Display Brightness Issue

I updated to the newest CCC/Drivers on Saturday. Radeon 5770 1 GB card. DVI interface. Ever since when I boot, my display is really bright. But if I click on CCC it goes back to normal. I don't have to do anything else, just open the app. Is there a setting I can change?

Right click > Catalyst control Center > Digital panel (DVI) > Colour

Brightness and contrast sliders, try both see what you like best, and adjust until pleased.

Just lower it from its 100 value down abit if needed. (should be a slider between -100 and 100)

When your happy with brightness/contrast press accept/apply button.

Thanks, but I did that one already. Still on a reboot I have to open the CCC. Just click on it then the display is correct.

I have been an Nvidia user since my first machine in Windows95. ATI drivers annoyed me then and I never went back till now!

Odd... I dont have that issue.

Your not trolling? Nvidia guys always go ATI drivers bla bla bla..
Yet I havnt had any issues (/_\), makes me abit skeptical when I hear people say it.

Not sure what to say... try uninstalling your drivers and going with older ones or something (you make it sound like it just happend after you updateing them, so it was working with the older ones). Just revert back to those as a last case solution if you cant get it working.

Update
I just restarted after a Windows update and this time, with no changes made it booted to the too bright screen but refreshed itself with no intervention from me.
