ATI Crossfire without Crossfire edition card???

Hope this isn't a repost. If this is genuine, it'd be great. Some of the benches return > 2X performance in crossfire! Now all that's left is for it to be available in stores.......

Nice find! Looks like both the Master/Slave card and dongle concepts may be completely unnecessary. Plus it doesn't seem to hurt performance at all.

X300 in Crossfire. Whoo-hoo! 🙂

Still, it's nice to see that the Crossfire platform may not have as many limitations as we originally feared. Hopefully ATI can incorporate these modifications into the final product if they prove to work as well as this article seems to indicate.

Perhaps combining IGP x300 with an x300 board could work?

For the extra monitor ports, it could be worth it but for gaming, you'll need a PC full of x300's to make a decently powerful gaming pc 😛

You do know that without the Master card, the frame from the slave card isn't displayed right (although the performance figures should be the same)? I thought this would be common knowledge by now.
