Ati Crossfire...Will this work ?

Will this work ? Ok...right now I have a X800 Pro ( R423 core PCI-E ) and may want to run Crossfire. Will the X850 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814102611 card be what I need ? Or do I need the X800 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814102639 be what I need ? I am definetely going CrossFire...but what card do I get to run it? Thanks

You need to stick with the X800 Crossfire card.

Are you running an LCD monitor? You are aware of the 1600x1200 @ 60Hz limitation of X800/X850 Crossfire, I hope?

yea, im aware of that. I dont ever game over 1600. Im on a crt.....19

With X8 crossfire you won't be able to game comfortably at 1600x1200 on a crt, if you really want to go crossfire buy the X800 Crossfire edition the 850 will scale down to your cards power.

60 hz on a crt is going to be really hurting your eyes. I wouldn't go with X8xx series crossfire unless your planning to game at 1280x960.
