ATI Control Center won't load...?

I just got my ATI AIW X800 XT 256 and installed it with the drivers a few days ago. I didn't install the 5 million things that come on the CD, just d/led the drivers off ati.com so I wouldn't have all that unnecessary stuff on my PC until I hook it up to the cable.

The problem is I can't access the ATI Catalyst Control Center. I right click on desktop, go to ATI CCC and it will act like it is going to load it and then just do nothing. I have no idea why it is doing it or anything. No spyware or viruses found on PC. I just want to be able to change AA/AF 🙁

uninstall, then reinstall MS .net Framework

restart IMMEDIATELY

install the ATi drivers

restart IMMEDIATELY

Does anyone know a way of changing AA or AF in the ACCC; I can't seem to find it. If you can't do it in the ATCCC, can you do it in the normal Control Center?

Entirely unnecessary and pointless.

All you have to do is restart the runtime. That's it.

Right click the control center in your system tray, you can adjust every setting in that menu without opening the control center itself.

restarting the runtime doesn't always work

at least for me

Should. If you have issues with it, report it to ATI. The extreme method you posted should never have to be done.
