ATi Catalyst v5.6 CCC .Net broadcast event error

Greetings all,

After uninstalling my old Cat v5.5 drivers I installed the full Cat v5.6 CCC (Catalyst Control Center) drivers and they work perfectly....ONLY when shutting down Windows I now get a small popup window with the following message:-

.Net broadcastEventWindow 1.0.5 .........Not RESPONDING

<click> END NOW

This shutdown error only occurs with the v5.6 CCC driver version. If I use the Cat v5.6 WITHOUT the CCC I dont get the error message.

Anyone else experience this and/or know of a fix?

I am using Windows XP Corp, SP2, .Net v1.1 + service pack.
X800 XT PE, Intel 3.0 Northwood

I don't think it has anything to do with the Catalyst 5.6 drivers. I believe it has to do with NET.Framework. Do a "Google" for "Net-BroadcastEventWindow" and you will get some clues - it is not uncommon. Anyway, I learned two versions ago not to use the CCC. It works better the old way as part of Windows Display Properties.
