Sweet, I will give these a try this evening. Hopefully the random crashing issue with Fallout 3 will stop.

This driver fixed a small issue I was having where my motherboard was only running my pci express slot at 8x. It's back to 16x now.

Another month, another WHQL driver. I'm loving this as currently both vendors are doing it.

Thanks to the OP for the heads-up on the new 9.2 drivers.

I installed it on my Win XP SP3 Pro system -- using a Sapphire 4850. The install went great, and I didn't get a black screen on reboot. For me, fortunately, the update went well... Now to benchmark them!

How do they compare to the current Toshiba LCDs. I liked the image quality on the Toshiba better, but that was just comparing a 52inch Toshiba to a 46" Samsung. To get the size that I really want (right around 50" which is what my TV is now), I would have to special order a Samsung in that size. I kind of hate special ordering anything like this that I cannot look at first, just in case it has a dead pixel or a problem of some kind, kind of a hassle to deal with that usually.

The 52" in both the Toshiba and the Samsung are about the same price locally, just would have to order the Sammy.

Sooo...anyone using these on Windows 7 Beta yet?

Drat, that was something I wanted addressed. Most likely, its Bethesda's issue to fix though. Morrowind and Oblivion all had the same CTD and stability issues.

Just installed on ASUS 4870 DK 1GB. XP 32 SP3. After install, rebooted and windows was using default VGA driver so everything was tiny and 6bit. Re-tried to install again, and everything went fine. I'm used to dealing with Creative's drivers, so if an extra reboot was all it took, no complaints here. :)

Well i installed the drivers last night and so far they are running smooth. No rebooting even required after removing and reinstalling. I still have to try WaW to see if there is that water line.

9.1 fixed all my "display driver stopped responding" and atikvmdll or whatnot errors with dual monitors so I'm hesitant to upgrade to these now that everything is working so perfectly with my 4850, but. . . why not? Some of those performance gains listed in the release notes look impressive.

I'll play this afternoon and look for that and write back. I noticed it when I was using 8.12, but I thought it was just a fluky problem with my setup.

No http://www.xbitlabs.com/articl...splay/catalyst-92.html Looks like the 9.2 drivers are worse performance wise then the last couple of releases. I don't know what Ati is doing lately. At this rate a 9800GT will be faster than a 4870 with the performance gains nvidia gets with its driver updates. I'm seriously thinking about selling my Ati card and going back to nvidia, something like a nice 9800GT or GTX just based on drivers alone....
