Dang, I'm down to 723 fps at 1600x1200 in Quake 2. I was previously at 726 fps with the same settings. I guess it's back to 6.6.
So I guess the general consensus is that this driver is not worth upgrading to?

GOOD GOD! i can't believe i have to play 3Dmark06 with 310 points lower... do you think it's gonna have a noticeable porformance impact??!!
Ahem...
I see your sarcasm...but will remind you that using benches helps diagnose driver problems. Running 3dmark06 just placed the last nail on the coffin on these drivers for me.

gersson, do you have an estimate of average drop in FPS? don't have oblivion to test it out (spent over $1,000 on vid cards and now don't have enough money for games)
as a side note, did try the Prey demo (as you can see i'm running a lot of demos instead of actual games) and they seem to have added the profile. running 6.7 seems to give a bit more FPS (seems to nearly max out at 60 FPS throughout the demo) than when running previous versions + renaming to doom3.exe
also, 6.7 seems to be producing some weird problems with images - i.e. on FEAR demo with 4AA, objects such as boxes in games seem to exhibit really fuzzy looking lines on verticle edges. Prey demo also produces weird looking "jagged white...things" on objects such as fences. can anyone else verify this?
