ATI Catalyst 5.9 drivers available - any questions?

Yah,
I have the previous version of these drivers installed with the Catalyst Control Center for my x800 np. I want to try this Catalyst version with the "Control Panel" instead.
Do I need to uninstall first or just install over the top of the older version?
Do I need to run some driver uninstallation program, too?

The third bullet point under "Notes" from the page you linked:

The Catalyst Uninstaller is an optional download. We recommend using this utility to uninstall any previously installed Catalyst drivers prior to installation.
