ATI Catalyst 5.1 Drivers

i upgraded to the catalyst 5.1 drivers. then i tried to open a HDWMV file and i get massive frame skipping and what seems like 1 frame per second playback. anyone have any fixes to this? my computer was able to play these video files when i had beta 4.9 or below installed.
