For some reason, ATi.com is giving me seriously slow dl speeds.
Normally I max out my connection at 114kb/s, but I'm getting 10.1kb/s, with nothing else sucking up bandwidth 🙁

Install went smoothly using good old Driver Cleaner,btw I`m using the new CCC since the old control panel will be phased out at some time down the road.

tangent1138 ,the first is the old control panel that we all know,the second(44mb size) is the new CCC panel that was released last month,but you do need as stated Net framework installed and the CCC does not support(at this time) all ATi cards.

Is there something wrong with the 61.77's? Or does Nvidia have to be in a driver race with ATI as well.

No you can use the old control panel,your choice,as to AI option it`s in 3D section,click view tab at top(make sure you are in advanced view).
 
Now that the "official" 4.10s are out, I'll be interested to see if others have IQ problems with the AI "High" setting. Especially in Doom3, it looks ridiculously bad for me -- look at the imp's faces for example.

If anyone is able to use AI on "High" with no IQ problems, I'd be interested to know. I'm using the 4.10 BETA Omega drivers.

I don't like the new CCC. Oh well, I don't have much choice now. I'd rather the CCC than the Omegas.
 
I don't like the CCC either, but if it's the wave of the future then maybe I should bite the bullet now and get used to it.

I'll try them out in parallel with a clean install of WinXP SP2. I have done a lot of software/driver experimentation lately. 😛
 
Why the hell do they go from 4.9 to 4.10? Shouldn't it be 4.09 to 4.10? Sheesh...dumbass numbering schemes.

I think it goes 4 for the year,and 10 for the tenth release which makes sense being they are on monthly updates ,October being tenth month.
 
Noid, do some D3 and Sims2 testing if you have those games. Those are 2 games with the biggest problems right now AFAIK.
 
Do anyone know how to keep icons is place after being in Safe Mode...?

I'm getting real tired of moving my icons back to where they are supposed to be each month ...

Sorry, I uninstalled D3 2 weeks ago.... and I dont have SIMS

I also lost alittle under 100 points in 3dM05...

I'm going back to 4.9
 
COD is a crash zone now, within a certain time limit, ca-ra-sh. Need to restart comp.

I will check my GPU OC tonight.
