ATI cards? using all 3 outputs DVI,Svideo,VGA

I'm thinking this won't be a three display setup but would it be like 1 main screen (say a CRT), the extended desktop (DVI LCD) and a TV on the svideo. Would the LCD and TV be the same output? or would the TV not even work?

Not sure, but I belive any card with the exception of the Matrox Parhelia can only do 2 seperate displays at any one time.

i think it's ALL the same display , just different ways of output.

Saw on ATI's site the combos that are possible will try to find it.

Page 6 has the display configs possible.9600 manual

do you just want to see your desktop on a TV or other monitor ? or do you want your desktop to "span" across the monitors , 1/2 on 1 and 1/2 on the other?
you can have your desktop show up on all the different outputs at once but it will be the same. i don't belive you can do this (2nd pic) with thw ATI.

right now i just have a CRT and a TV
when i use the TV as the 2nd it extends the desktop but it doesnt have a taskbar and the wallpaper is a copy of the CRt's. I guess i should have a custom resolution if i want the taskbar accross both.


But what i want is the CRT with a 1024res as a gaming monitor and i'll use a 4inch svideo TV for system monitoring. The LCD will be cloned by the TV but i wont need the lcd on for system monitoring

you can't have 3 outputs because there's only 2 ramdacs on the card...
