It says in the article that NCQ IS NOT supported by this board, where have you seen otherwise? SATA 2 support does not automatically include NCQ apparently....

Any thoughts on the sustained storage performance?

The article states that SB450 southbridge does not support NCQ. So, the 4 ports provided by SB450 don't have it or 300Mbps transfer speed. But the Sil 3132 does provide NCQ support among other "SATA 2" features (see the manufacturer's page). So one just has to check which SATA ports to use.

Any thoughts on the sustained storage performance?

I guess the thought-provoking aspects were about sustained USB (storage) performance only, storage performance otherwise (SATA2/SATA/IDE/Firewire) seemed great.

Hey wonky,

THanks for the info, one thing though... Notice that SATA performance was 377Mb/s versus NF4's 440ish... This seems significantly worse, isn't it? Am I reading that wrong?

Ok, I guess I answered my own question, the SATA performance I was refering to was also from the SB450 Sbridge... I guess the only complaint then is the slow USB 2.0, which isn't really that big of a deal. With the SB600 quite a while away, not sure it is worth the wait.

Any ideas what else SB600 brings to the table other than better USB 2.0?

Anyone have any idea if the XP-120 will fit on this baby?

Quite impressive. Hopefully this will result in a mobo chipset war like the graphics chipset war, but without the paper launches.

I just tested my rs480 in 3dmark03, 1770, not that great. I searched for Intel 915 scores, couldn't find any. I couldn't evev find the 945G to search for, so i'm not to sure how this stacks up to intels latest offering.

On another note, I do have the highest ATI RADEON XPRESS 200 Series scores, and I'm not running dual channel, which is supposed to help. That says alot for Jetways board with the 32megs of onboard graphics memory.
