The video card on my sons computer (AIW 9800 PRO) just gave out and I went to look on their site about the warranty . Am I reading it right... only one year?? I sent one in a couple of years ago and at that time I thought it was five years!!

Thanks

9800 pro only costs 50 bucks.

FSTR forum to find another one or just get a new AGP card, 7600 or something like that

You probably got a 3-year warranty on your 9800 pro. The 1 year warranty applied only the to newer cards (x1800 and above??).

If it's not an "ATI"-branded card, the warranty depends on the manufacturer.

According to this, it should have a 3-year warranty. Products older than the R7000 may have a 5-year warranty.

New ATI video cards (as of 10/25/2006) have a 1-year warranty, it looks like. But older cards with longer warranties are still covered.
