hey all, currently i have a riva tnt2 32mb and a win-tv go board. the probelem is i cant upgrade to win2k with the win-tv board, ive tried several ways/several times. so my resolution is to get an ati all in wonder rage 128, agp 32mb. is this a good idea or ? any opinions are welcome. also will this be any better/worse than my current board for 3d games? thanks everyone.😉

If you're going to upgrade to something with a tv tuner, you may as well go with the All In Wonder Radeon instead of the Rage. You'll get the extra speed increase as well as stable, Win2k drivers.

It's a good card, I have one, as far as a TV tuner all in one card, this is the one you want. Getting it working under 2K can be a bitch though, but it does work once you figure it out.

The Radeon is going to give you a serious performance boost in 3D games, but the cost increase is large as well. I currently have the 16 Mb ATI AIW Rage 128 (not pro) and I love the card. I have not had to set it up under Windows 2K however, so I cannot help you there. It has been my experience that downloading the newest drivers from ATI's website for your OS is key.

okay, i dont want to go all out and get the radeon, yet, just dont want to spend the xtra $$$. this card will do 3d/win 2k though right ??

yes it will do 3d win win2k but dont expect it to blow you out of the water... your looking at 40-50 FPS MAX with the 128 Pro in most games. Even less with the regular Rage 128.
