ATI All-in-wonder 9000: Hardware video acceleration?

I'm putting an ATI All-in-wonder 9000 into a slower system. I believe it uses the Radeon 9000 chip.

Do I need a special driver to take advantage of hardware video acceleration? (like nVidia's PureVideo). And what kind of video can it accelerate? Just DVD, or DiVX/XVid too?

I'm pretty sure the 9000 will only accelerate DVD playback.
