ATI All In Wonder 7500

Someone gave me one of these cards lately and I am curious to know what it it equal to. I read a review on a strait 7500 without the TV add on and it scored about between a ti500 and ti200 which tells me nothing. I'm considering using it in a server that I never use except to serve. The server current has a Ge-Force 4 MX440 in it. Any comments about this card being about the ATI AIW 7500? Thanks.

It's a directX 7 card so comparing it to a ti500 or ti200 is a bit disingenious. Probably compares well to the geforce 2 or a later model MX.

Edit: From looking at GPUreview.com's specs of it, it is about the same as a Geforce 4 MX 440 128MB model.

Yeah, it?s back from when ATI just changed their naming scheme to reflect certain aspects of their GPUs. The Radeon 8500 was their top of the line (and pretty much only 8xxx series chip, there was a FireGL 8800/8700...and their 9000/9100/9200/9250 are derivations of the 8500 but they decided to screw up the naming system in order to get better sales) this 8xxx line supported DX8 (8.1 and PS1.4 to be precise), the 7xxx series (including the 7500) was a DX7 line. From what I remember the 7500 was about on par with a GeForce 2 Pro/Ti/Ultra, so it'd be "equivalent" of a GF4MX or so.

The cool part about the AIW is the TV tuner / radio functions, perhaps you'd actually want to use it for such features and leave the GF4MX440 in the server...

Thank you both. This is about what I expected. I had a G-Force 2 Pro that is still in use in a relatives PC and still getting it done even on UT2004 prett much. I am mostly interested in the TV aspect of this card but wanted to make sure it was about the same as what it would be replacing if I put it into the server I have. I have a TV card in a PC about one foot away from the server now so I'll use this TV card in a different machine at a later time where it would actually get use. Thanks again all. You gave me the exact information I was looking for. Have a great weekend!
