ATI AIW9800Pro crashes at random all the time

I keep getting random crashes ever since I installed my ATI AIW9800Pro. They occur totally at random, sometimes after 30seconds, sometimes several hours. If I am playing a game, then the system will either lock up or reset, and if I am on the desktop, it will crash and the VPU recovery will switch over to software mode and mail an error report. When the card is running, it runs perfectly normally.
I have tried new and old drivers for everything, and I am at a total loss. I think it may be a bad card.

i have the same card... it crashes often after playing games also.. but i only get crashed to the desktop... and that might be because i tweaked windows to not restart... but its probably just overheating also... i put a better fan on my cpu to cool things better and put a few more fans in... hasn't crashed since... i was planning to get a vga silencer rev 3.. which is compatible with this card, but im looking into some 6800nu's.

It's not heat. I just got home, turned on the computer, and the thing crashed within 2 minutes. Earlier I was playing Half Life 2 for 2 hours before it crahsed. It's definitely a hardware problem. I have eliminated every single possiblity except 2. I haven't flashed my motherboard BIOS (The newest version came out last Friday) and I haven't tried a different PSU, but I don't want to buy a PSU and find that it makes no difference.
What are the power requirements for a Radeon. What voltage does it need?
