One of the computers I built for a customer has an all in wonder card, and when I connect the coaxial cable connection to it, the quality is really horrible. It seams the coaxial cable is giving off some sort of electrical interference. I need something that converts a coaxial cable into an s video cables hopefully this will clear up the problem.

If you have a better idea then drop it in here. If you know where I can find this "converter" let me know I've goggled my fingers off.

If you are talking aboot "cable TV" RF F-type connectors then RCA plug adapters are readily available which could then be used with a common RCA to S-Video converter to provide a physical connection for video. However I think a modulator would be required to actually convert RF signals. In any case it would not necessarily solve the problem. A common source of PC to TV quality problems is a ground loop for which there are RF isolators available (even if the two are connected by other means).

where can i find these? Any connection other than the screw on cable would work. I know the AIW allows rca connections, that would be an upgrade.... If i did the S Video id have to use an rca cable for sound anyway. I dont know really? i'm just looking to provide better reception than i had when i connected the screw on cable. The quality was like a good antena connection, or a bad cable signal.

*EDIT* you know your stuff, very well, I'm not a seasoned vet like yourself with TV signals so it took me a few minutes to ge what you where talking about...... actualy i still have no clue... yeah..... i have no clue what your talking about... please break it down for a noob like me.

Yeah, it's not just a jack, the COAX plug goes into the tuner on the card. There is no simple converter to SVID that would be a better option for watching TV on your PC. What you need is to do is fix the signal problems with your cable (the issue is not in the connection to the card).
