Hey guys. I'm suddenly having a strange problem with my AIW 9800PRO when watching the MMC TV tuner. Sometimes it looks normal. But suddenly vertical lines can appear. There's a pattern of 10 vertical lines, then a separation of about 1 vertical line wide where there is NOT a vertical line, and that pattern repeats itself across the TV viewer window. So it's 10 vertical lines, space, 10 vertical lines, space, 10 vertical lines, space, etc. The lines appear white when the background is black, and they appear black when the background is white. Color under the lines is normal. What is strange is if I change channels, a partial faint "ghost" image of the original channel where the lines started remains!

I can click the input selector to change inputs--S-video, composite, cable, and the lines not only remain, but the faint ghost after-image of the last scene on TV before changing the inputs also remains! There is also a long delay when changing inputs, compared to when this problem is not happening, there is no delay when changing inputs!

The lines don't move around, but they do appear to "flash" or "bounce" a bit. Another thing that's most odd, is if I resize the TV window, the lines will resize. Regardless of how small or how large the TV window is, there is always 10 bands of 10 lines vertical.

And still another strange thing, the problem is recordable, but when I record something the lines almost disappear! When I stop the recording, they reappear!

It's not the cables, I can remove them and nothing changes. It's also not the cable feed, because I can actually remove the coax cable, and the lines remain. So it's either software or TV tuner failure, and I fear it's the latter. However, when I use the composite input with my VCR connected and use the VCR's tuner, the lines are still there! So that doesn't sound like tuner failure, but some other problem with the card. But the card in every other way is totally normal. My monitor display is totally normal, webpages, folders, colors, all perfectly normal. The only problem is when watching TV.

I'm using the Omega version of the latest ATI Catalyst drivers. MMC is v9.08 (because later versions suck, they have less features and TVoD is on all the time).

So has anyone ever seen or heard of this before?
Thank you.
