ATI AIW 8500dv no audio on playback

just installed an ATI AIW 8500dv on an a7v133 and got it working ok except, there is no audio from playback of recorded TV.
I noticed during the install I had to choose an audio input (I think) I chose "line in" now can't find the settings for audio anywhere.
I have the line out from the card going into the MB plug (onboard audio) and do get audio from watching TV , but not playback. any help appreciated.
 
Make sure that the line-in input isn't being muted while recording. Open up the windows recording control while capturing and make sure your input isn't muted, do a quick capture and then play it back. Working?
