Just checked pricewatch.com, and the ATI RADEON 9800SE 128MB under several links is listed at $160... why so cheap and if legitimate shoudl this belong in "hot deals" ?

because its not that fast... it only has 4 piples instead of 8... some SEs are even 128 bit :Q... the SE tag is really misleading because there's nothing special about it. unless you think of special the other way. :)

Any links to performance numbers of the 9800SE... is it the same as a 9600?

For $160 I'm guessing this is the 128 bit version. In addition to only having a 128 bit memory bus, these are clocked at 325/250, vs the 380/340 of the 256bit 9800se. The 128bit version has performance below that of a 9600 pro, whereas the 256 bit version is usually a little faster than the 9600 pro.
