My Sapphire 9700 Pro started showing artifacts during the POST screens, too. I RMA'd it to Saphire (they only have a 1 year warranty) and three weeks later I received another 9700 Pro. According to the date code, it is actually older than the one I sent them! I'm going to run this thing 24/7 till the RAM dies again... :|

ATI, on the other hand, has a three year warranty and will ship out a 9800 Pro... Not hard to see which one is better...

I guess ATI is more expensive but they have 3yr warranty and from what I have heard they are very good with RMA service.
*prays for 9800pro*

WOO HOO!

same for me....I RMAed a 9700 Pro on Feb 2, I just got a shipping notice for my replacement today. Pretty quick turnaround.

The email states I'm getting back a:

102A0752100
R350 128MB BGA V-VO-DI HY-(338M/378E)

this would appear to be a 9800 Pro, I googled the ATI 102# and that's what I come up with.
A R360 core would have been great, but I'm not going to grip about getting a better card as a replacement.

should get it tommorrow, they sent it FedX overnight.

9800 pro would easily any new games at decent resolution. I am not gonna worry about upgrades atleast for another year.
