Since plain 9700, according to ATi, is right on the edge of AGP 2.0 power allowance, I wouldn't hold my breath for an AIW9700. Slightly downclocked 9500 might leave enough power headroom to feed the TV circuitry. We'll see.
No they've already said the AIW 9700 will be out by the holiday season. They also said that unlike previous versions it won't be a downclocked version and may in fact be a premium higher-clocked version of the card.
IMHO it's always better to buy a seperate TV-tuner/capture card, simply because you may want to upgrade your graphics card down the line. TV-tuners don't generally go obselete. The AIW cards are pretty sexy tho.
at this point they have stated it,but i wouldn't take that to the bank just yet,as it is or was a purposed feature and as yet no prerelease info has been made officially.=mho ymmv
they are usually right about features but ati has had to make compromises before.this time they seem more goal oriented so i hope the info is correct.what i've heard was mpeg2 higher clock than previous models and a power dvd encoder built in.but until the actual specs are released nothing is confirmed as i understand confirmed to mean
