ATI 9700 AIW?

I was about 30 seconds from odering an ATI 9700 AIW when I saw some comments posted on newegg.com
mentioning tv picture/capture & other quality problems with some of these cards.

I've got some buying jitters now. Has anyone experienced or heard of these problems? Thanks.
 
I experienced the channels 1-6 poor reception problem. It is easily fixed with a cheap signal booster from Radio Shack. Other than the poor reception out of the box (the signal booster brings it up to the same PQ as my AIW 7500, which is excellent), Its a great card. I picked mine up at the product release last year, and haven't regretted it one bit. Newer models "may" have better reception as several folks at Rage3D reported no problems after an RMA. I've captured extensively with this card, and it has excellent quality, both in playback and encoding on the fly.

I just wouldn't consider a refurb on an AIW card however, and "only" because of the bundle (lack of). The accesories make it an attractive value, buying them seperately is expensive.
