BOX: AMD (Sempron2500+),a7v8x-x(asus)(via kt400),512ddr333
Had a lot of problems installing windows with the ATI card so installed a Geforce 2 mx400 that i had for testing
and completed installation . During install it gave me an error of the "System" component not being able to
install properlly but still it completed the install. Got to windows and runs normally but then when tryed to
install the AGP driver by PNY it gave me an error that it did'nt have a valid chipset for the driver. Installed
the latest 4in1 VIA chipset drivers from ASUS but still does not recognize that a valid card for the drivers is on the AGP slot. Installed ATI 9600xt and booted but really faulty and after a third time of auto rebooting after
Windows Splash I was able to boot in safe mode and tryed to install the ATI catalyst drivers but again it detected that there was no INF driver present and installation was not successfull. Aperture size of the card from the bios it says 32mb and also 8x mode.
In the RAdeon manual it said that if i dont have the latest GART drivers for my NON intel Chipset the card could give problems.
Please help ... this computer was a gift from me to my mother ..
