i have recently upgraded to a ati 9600pro vga card i must admit that after taking it out of the box i saw this dinky little hsf on the gpu:disgust: i was almost not going to buy it
at any rate i taped the thermal probe from my fan controller to the of the back of the card right in the center of the gpu. it seems to be a good spot as when under load the temps quickly rise or fall etc.
im going to asume at least a 10 deg c difference in the probe/chip so
temps at idle
38 deg c +10? = 48
after running the ati lava caves screensaver all night
41 deg c + 10 =51
i think you could safely add 10 more deg c to this card.
please let me know and excuse the spelling
also what are the best clock timings for this card any hints would be apreciated.
