ati 9600 pro or powercolor 9600?

Which one is better? The original ATI 9600 Pro or the Powercolor 9600 pro or the Sapphire 9600 pro?
I have a choice between refurbished ATi and Sapphire which are a little cheaper than the PowerColor, but the first one is an orginal ati but refurbished while the Powercolor is new retail. The Sapphire is also refurbished and its retail is about the same as powercolor's retail.

Is the Radeon 9600 Pro "EZ" a different kind or the same kind as the 9600 Pro? I saw the "EZ" on a few websites.

Thanks

P.S. any other brand recommendations for the 9600 pro?

I would be inclined to take the BB ATI 9600pro because of the factory 3 year warranty. Some people didn?t like the fact that the ATI retail 9600pro came on a ?regular? green PCB rather than the red like the Powercolor so if that?s an issue you may not want the BB ATI.

My second choice would be the Powercolor 9600pro. Sapphire had some ?minor? performance issues with some of their 9600pro?s, which seem to have been fixed now -- but some of them may be still going through the retail system and you could end up with one of them. Sapphire is back at the top of my list with their 9600XT?s as they use the faster 2.8ns Samsungs --real nice card, but I advised people to avoid their 9600pros? unless it was the Fireblade edition.

I'm also not sure how "Sapphire" could have been having problems with their cards (first I've heard of it) but not ATI -- Sapphire *makes* all the BBA cards. They should all perform identically.

Sapphire may have been contracted to make the BB ATI cards, but their own 9600pro?s were slightly different from the reference ATI retail 9600pro?s.

Sapphire made 3 models ?

Sapphire 9600pro ?Fireblade ? 2.8ns Samsung ?(same as ATI reference design)
Sapphire 9600pro ? retail box ? 2.8ns Etrontech ? (different)
Sapphire 9600pro ? OEM/bulk ? 3.3ns Samsung ? (different)

There was as much as a 7-10% performance drop in a lot of the benchmarks on both the 2.8 Etrontech and 3.3 Samsung models. Review with 3.3ns Samsung ?

Don?t know if was a manufacturing glitch or Sapphire bungled their 9600pro design when they strayed from the ATI reference, or maybe they lowered the memory CAS latency or something. They dropped the Etrontech model and by Aug of this year the newer 9600pro?s with 3.3 Samsungs were benching properly.
