ATI 9600 PRO....i get a BLANK blus screen of death!

Okay, i've played CS with it and its fine but when i play Splinter Cell i will get a blank BSOD sooner or later (within 15 minutes of gameplay) /i've updated the driver, rolled it back, tried agp 4x and 8x...turned down the hardware acceleration notch, put all the options to performance instead of quality.

I put in my radeon 7000 card and it worked (but it was ugly)

what are some other things i can try?

It don't think its the hardware, just maybe a driver conflict (hopefully....)
system: 2.4C, Abit IC7, 1024MB DDR400 corsair xms(not in dual channel mode, another separate problem), ati 9600 pro


also sometimes the game will just lock and not go to a BLANK BSOD or it will have a general fault protection error

What's the issue with the dual channel memory not working? Maybe the problem's related? Bad mobo?

its most likely a power issue but when its in dual mode the bios will recognize it but when the XP loading screen comes on my pc will reset (neverending loop)

Probably BSOD'ing on you too. In the advanced system properties in the startup and recovery section, you can tell Windows to not automatically restart.

okay, i've reformatted and reinstalled xp pro sp1 and spinter cell.....i get a whole system reset a few minutes into the game in bot agp 4x and 8x

when i log back in after the reboot windows says it was a driver that made the system crash. Anyone got ideas?
and the lowest anti aliasing option is 2x


I'm trying with windows restarting on error disabled now

with error restarting off i get that blank BSOD

Check the application preference to disable aa. Try using the 3.2 drivers instead.
