ATI 9600 64mb or 128?

Im thinking bout getting a lappy for gaming. I play counter strike probably some halo, farcry, hl2 what not. The new Emachines look nice and shiny....but will 64 mb video card effect me? if not why do they make 128?

The 64mb should do you just fine. If you want more out of it then just do some overclocking on it. There is a whole thread on this lappy. You may do good to wait till the 09 comes out but when it does be prepaird to buy it the day you see it. If it is anything like the 07 in my area they will be gone quickly.

Yeah the Emachine def. has good perf. with CS, Halo etc. However, it gets bogged down with games like FarCry. With the default system with vid o/ced to 421/225, Farcry only runs decently at 800x600 with medium detail. A lot of ppl are telling me to upgrade the system ram for a large boost in performance. I can get back to you after I get enuf money for that . However, you will find that the system will run a little slower with the next gen games cause of the 64meg vid card. I'm still not complaining cause I got this baby for 1300
