ATI 9500 software mod. Help me

Hey, I'm looking at buying a retail 9500np so that if the card does mess up hopefully i shouldnt have problems with the warranty. I understand there is no way to detect modification of this sort. I was also under the understanding that certain brands work with this mod better then others. Does anyone know which ones tend to work the best? Thx
