ATI 9000 dvd play problem

Just started up new client unit and having problem with dvd playback. Unit is A7V333 w/ xp2000 on winxp home ed using a Toshiba 16x player. There is a Device Mgr err 10 on the Rage Theater MCD (?). Right now, even win Media player will not work. I have deleted and reloaded the ATI drivers without solving this. DVD player is not available from the ATI site...says only available on cd.
Any suggestion greatly appreciated. TIA, Paul
