ATI 800XL

I have been looking for a web site or two that has reviewed all the major card makers of this card, the 800XL. I wanted to read about which one is the best over all and highest quality.

I want to get this card or the 6600GT from LeadTek.

Thanks I will keep looking as well

Thanks alot, I have read alot about all the 6600GT cards and now that I see the 800XL is just as good are better than the 6800GT for about $100 less, I think I am going to get that so i dont have to upgrade anytime soon with the games I want to play.

Most of the 6800GT cards on newegg.com are anywhere between $299 up top $410

The ATI 800XL is from $283 up to $330

So the 800XL is cheaper priced card.

I see that the HIS Hightech P-ICE80XN-2I-ZAM Radeon X800XL 256MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16 is rated as one of the best cards to get from the 800XL line up. But it looks huge. Anybody, know anymore about this??

And where can you buy a Sapphire Radeon X800 XL Ultimate PCI Express 256MB DDR3 Video Card for around $300, I found it on ZipZoomFly for like $330

I need to look i know, i will, doing that now..

I am reading up on the 800XL and it seems to be just under $300 for just about the same performace or some times better than the 6800GT.

But on these review I read, doesnt the other hardware have alot to do with what the Frame rates. I know some games are more CPU intense and some are more GPU intence. how about the memory on the MOBO?? thats got to effect the scores? and the CPU does too in some cases. the mobo itself.

Ok i think i said enough, i will go research this more.

anybody have any trouble with the HIS Hightech 800XL card taking up two PCI slots?? it looks really big.

nevermind its a 2 slot card, i just found out.
