Cod would probably run ok if you turn down settings, but the weapons are balanced for consoles, so the laser gun is extremely overpowered. I'd stay away from it.

7770 won't max most games, but nor will you be running minimum settings. It's still a usable gaming card.

I have a HD7770 and I could run Metro Last Light with no problem. Havent tried any of the new "next gen" games though. If you have a decent cpu, I think you can run them on a 7770 by turning down the settings and even lowering the resolution if necessary. I hate to say it though, but unless you have a powerful system a lot of these new games might be better on the console.

7750 runs Metro Last Light and other games surprisingly well:

Metro Last Light & Shameless Channel Plug
Shadow Warrior
Battlefield 3
Counter Strike: Global Offensive

You can expect a 7770 to be up to 30-50% faster. I saw a video the other day of a guy running Advanced Warfare on a Surface Pro 2 I think (HD 4600). If Unity really does require 2 GB of graphics memory, then unless you have some rare 7770 with 2 GB of VRAM, it won't initialize. Chalk it up to Ubisoft to really shit all over gamers with older graphics.

Just don't use AA. Shadows on low. A few settings on medium most on high (not ultra) you should be fine.

My new mobo has crossfire support so I was wondering if the benchmarks I've seen are true. Should I get another 7770 and run in crossfire? It only would cost me $70 or just get a gtx 970
