hi guys.
I just got a 4850 and ran into some issues.
1. where can i get the latest drivers. amd's websites list only till 3870 but i still dl'ed the driver and installed it (i think they still use the unified driver) and its catalyst v 8.6.
2. what software can i use for video transcoding that'll allow my own setting, the catalyst software sucks.
3. ati tray tools is unable to control the fan, what should i be using ?

1. use the latest 8.6 with the hotfix patch. the hotfix affects performance with 4800 series so be sure to get that

2. im sure u can find lots of video transcoding sw on the net. The cyberlink one is planned to support GPU acceleration, is what ive heard.
