ATI 4850 No Signal

My HIS 4850 is not being detected or something. The fan is running at I think full speed but I'm incapable of detecting it in Windows and I get the No Signal crap on my monitor. I thought(and still kinda think/hope) it was my RAM because one of my sticks died but I can run my OS fine with 1 2 gig stick. It has 2 red LEDs that blink during startup but it always did that. Also, I thought maybe my mobo's PCI-e x16 slot might've died or something so I tried my other one. Cleared CMOS multiple times. Any advise or questions?

Also, no hardware has been added/removed in my comp since November last year so it's clearly not DOA since it worked for ~3 months.

My friend is coming over tomorrow so I'll see if it works in his system and try to determine what's my problem.

I had the exact same problem but with G.Skill Pi Black and a M2N-E SLI. The problem turned out to not actually be the sticks of ram being broken but my BIOS needed updating. So, I'm assuming that if you're not running a 64-bit OS it doesn't detect all 4GB of RAM. I was running a 32-Bit and I just assumed that it would show up as maybe 3GB instead and still boot. Obviously, that wasn't the case.

I solved this as I said by updating the motherboard BIOS. You should try doing that first. If that doesn't work perhaps upgrading to a 64-bit system would.

My computer won't even post when my dead RAM is in. I updated my BIOS. It worked on 32-bit OS like 2 days ago(and months prior) just said "Installed memory(RAM): 4.00 GB (3.25 GB usable)". Pretty sure my RAM's dead. I emailed G Skill to possibly replace it. The real issue here is my video card :( Thanks though.

I don't think the video card is the issue since the system won't POST with the dead RAM(I don't understand what do you mean dead RAM).Just make sure it is inserted all the way in.Does you computer give any beeping sound when you boot it.It might be irrelevant but my system used to boot with a faulty DIMM(though OS crashed during operation). Also when you clear CMOS ,let the battery out for around half an hour so all the charge gets dissipated.

Was it working before, or is this a new build?
I had the same problem w/my Visiontek HD4850. All of a sudden when I start the PC, the fan spins, but my monitor light stays amber. I tried a different video card & all's well (somewhat).

It posts fine without the dead RAM but video card still doesn't work. If I have the dead stick in it, it won't beep on startup but if I use what I'm using now it will beep.

It was working fine before. My friend is coming over today so I'll get to test stuff in his system.

What monitor?
Which cable are you using? (DVI, HDMI, VGA?)
Have you tried a different cable?
Have you tried using an adapter?
Are you using an adapter?

Some 19in LCD monitor by SOYO that I got on Black Friday.
Using a VGA cable in a VGA to DVI adapter.
Yes, I've tried a different cable and an adapter.
I don't have a DVI cable to try.
It's probably not the cable because the same monitor/cable works fine with my integrated graphics.
